Dersin Amacı	This course is designed to teach students the basic statistical tools required to formulate statistical questions, perform rudimentary analysis, and apply statistical thinking to their field of study. At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to critically analyze data sets and apply the tools of statistics to data in order to improve decision making.

1	At the end of this course, students should be able to distinguish between quantitative and categorical data and know which graphical and tabular techniques to apply to each.
2	Students in this course will know fundamental statistical concepts and some of their basic applications in science and society.
3	Students are expected to know how to organize, manage, and present a data set.
4	Students are expected to be able to use and apply a variety of specific statistical methods and produce and interpret graphical displays for simple data sets.
5	Students are expected to be able to discuss and comment the results of statistical analysis.
6	Students are expected to be able to develop their knowledge related to probability, as well as some discrete and continous distributions.
