Mode of delivery This lecture is a continuation of HEM 521. Students are expected to prepare theorical curriculum and to make presentations on the topics of the lecture. Students are provided to attend by question and answer, discussion etc. methods.
Course objective 1. To discuss nursing approaches, effects on child and family and crisis periods in Pediatric Nursing 2- To discuss nursing approaches and effects on child and family of hospitalization 3- To discuss nursing approaches and effects on child and family of chronic illness 4- To discuss nursing approaches and effects on child and family of terminal illness 5- To discuss disability, psychosocial aspects, rehabilitation, nursing approaches and effects on child and family of disability 6- To discuss nursing approaches and psychologic problems in childhood
Course description The nursing approaches about the solutions, services given and difficulties experienced children with chronic illness, terminal illness, disability and their families, hospitalization, crisis periods in Pediatric Nursing (death, divorce, illness....) are discussed. In accordance with these knowledges, the holistic approach and understanding in students are provide to develop.
