Dersin Amacı	The purpose of this course is to equip students with the foundations and practical skills required to design, implement, and secure modern backend web APIs. It aims to develop students'' ability to translate application requirements into well-structured server-side solutions by applying REST-based API design, the MVC pattern, dependency injection, and object-relational data access. By progressing from API fundamentals through data persistence to authentication and authorization, the course prepares students to build complete, production-oriented backend services. Ultimately, the course seeks to cultivate developers who can reason about backend architecture, manage data effectively, apply security best practices, and integrate server-side components within larger software systems.
Dersin Tanımı	This course provides a comprehensive introduction to backend web application development through the design and implementation of modern web APIs using ASP.NET Core. Beginning with the fundamentals of web API architecture (including REST principles, resource modeling, and HTTP methods), the course progressively develops the skills required to build robust server-side applications. Students learn to implement the MVC pattern, apply dependency injection, configure routing, logging, and middleware, and manage persistent data using an object-relational mapper with support for CRUD operations, entity relationships, and querying. The course concludes with essential backend security topics, covering authentication, authorization, and identity management. Emphasizing industry-aligned practices in API design, data access, and application security, the course equips students with the practical competencies needed to develop reliable, maintainable, and secure backend services for real-world software systems.
