Course objective In hospital, knows the basic infection control and prevention guidelines and prevent either themselves or environment, patients as a health care technician.
Course description Basic infection and infection control knowledge.

Course contents
1 introduction to infectious diseases.
2 Hand hygiene and hand hygiene practices
3 General symptoms of infectious diseases
4 Prevention of infections
5 Definition of hospital-acquired infections
6 Hospital-acquired infections (intravascular catheter infections and nosocomial respiratory tract infections)
7 General precautions in infection control
8 Surgical site infections and urinary tract infections
9 Midterm exam.
10 Post-midterm evaluation – Blood and blood product-borne infections
11 Respiratory tract infections
12 Infection transmission and prevention in procedures such as the use of surgical instruments, ventilators, and intravascular catheters
