1 Alanı ile ilgili nitel ve nicel verileri toplar, bilgisayar destekli programlarla analiz eder ve yorumlar.
2 İşletme bilimi ile ilgili alanlarda özgün bilimsel çalışma yaparak, ulusal ve uluslararası literatüre katkıda bulunur.
3 Yaptığı bilimsel çalışmaları araştırmacılara ve diğer yararlanıcılara makaleler yoluyla yazılı; seminer, sempozyum, konferans ve kongre bildirileri yoluyla sözlü olarak aktarır.
4 İşletme ve çevresine ilişkin ulusal ve uluslararası gelişmeleri takip eder, bunların işletme ve çevresi üzerindeki etkilerini tartışır.
5 İşletme bilimi ile ilgili alanlarda (yönetim, muhasebe, finansman, üretim yönetimi, pazarlama, sayısal yöntemler) ve iş yaşamında karşılaşılan toplumsal, bilimsel ve yönetimsel etik sorunları tespit eder ve bunlara çözüm üretir.
6 İşletmelerde insan kaynaklarının stratejik bir unsur olarak etkin ve verimli bir şekilde yönetilmesinin yollarını açıklar.
7 Bir yeni girişimin nasıl başlatılacağını ve girişimcilik sürecinin nasıl yönetileceğini gösterir ve uygular.
8 İşletmelerin uzun vadede sürdürülebilir rekabet üstünlüğüne sahip olması için izlenmesi gereken stratejik yönetim süreçlerini açıklar.
9 Üretim yönetiminde karşılaşılan problemler ve kullanılan yöntemler hakkında dünyadaki son gelişmeleri ve ortaya çıkan yeni yaklaşımları tartışır.
10 Üretim ve hizmet sektöründeki gerçek olaylar için standart süreleri tespit edip simülasyon modelleri tasarlar ve elde edilen sonuçları yorumlar.
11 Ekonomi, finans, muhasebe ve denetim alanındaki ulusal ve uluslararası gelişmeleri, bunların işletmeler ve piyasalar üzerindeki etkilerini takip eder ve tartışır.
