Course objective The objective of this course is to teach the student the complementary medicinal products from natural sources.
Course description Natural sources used in complementary treatment systems

Course contents
1 Definition of Phytotherapy;
2 Plants and active components;
3 Plant drug diversity,
4 Vitamins, antibiotics, natural toxins, research into new plant drugs;
5 Aromatherapy; principles of aromatherapy;
6 Important essential oils and mixtures used in aromatherapy, their preparation and storage;
7 Homeopathy; principles, uses of drugs in homeopathy;
8 Homeopathic pharmacy,
9 Effects of traditional remedies in central nervous system, consciousness;
10 Eye-, cardiovascular system,
11 Endocrine system, gastrointestinal system,
12 Respiratory system.
