1 Obtain basic knowledge and competence for researching and studying in the field of Turkish language and literature.
2 Evaluate the concepts and theories in the field of Turkish language and literature with a scientific methods
3 Realise the historical development and change of Turkish language and literature from its beginning to the present time.
4 Execute advanced searches and studies in Turkish language and literature subjects independently.
5 Gain the competence and knowledge of reading, writing and understanding the texts written in Ottoman Turkish.
6 Use Turkish correctly and well.
7 Recognize verbal-written products and sources of Turkish folk culture and literature.
8 Develop their sensibility and tastes in language and literature fields.
9 Comprehend historical and contemporary Turkish dialect and vernaculars with the help of Göktürk, Uygur and Kiril alphabets.
