Course objective The aim of the course to get the students a general information on free radicals and antioxidants, to teach the students biological effects of reactive oxygen species and to get the information on natural antioxidants.
Course description Description of free radicals, Oxygen and properties, Sistematic of Reactive oxygen species, Resources of Reactive oxygen species, oxygen derivative free radicals, non-oxygen derivative free radicals, singlet oxygen, nitric oxide and patophysiology, biological effect of free radicals, lipid peroxidation, enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidant systems, oxidative stress and diseases, analysis regarding to evaluation of oxygen radicals, analysis regarding to evaluation of nitric oxide, natural antioxidants and usage.
