Course objective The objective of this course is to teach the student the theoretical aspects of biotechnology.
Course description This course includes methods and procedures used in biotechnology.

1 General consideration to methods used in biotechnology
2 Isolation of nucleic acids and proteins
3 Homogenisation, separation and purification
4 Filtration, dialysis and precipitation
5 Applications of enzymes, santrifugation
6 Chromatography, elektrophoresis
7 Analysis of nucleic acids and proteins
8 Applications of radioisotop, immunological methods, structural analysis
9 Determination of molecule weight and staining of proteins
10 Characterisation of proteins
11 Isolation and purification of DNA
12 Analysis of DNA
13 Enzymatic analysis methods
14 Application fields of biotechnicological methods
