Dersin Amacı
|
The purpose of the course is to help the student obtain a fundamental understanding of the mechanical behavior of laminated composite materials and develop skills in designing and analyzing composite structures.After successful completion of this course, the student should be able to understand the structure, mechanics and material relations of composite materials.

Dersin Tanımı
|
In this course the fundamental principles of the mechanics of composite materials are covered. Topics covered include; stress-strain relations for non-isotropic composites, such as fiber-reinforced plastic laminates, properties and their use, strength and life determination, and methods for design using composite materials.
