Course objective To tell to all young people who have completed higher education structure and functioning of the main language features. To gain the ability to use Turkish correctly and To dominate language in education connective and integrative. To educate young people with main language consciousness.
Course description Definition of language, its feature, language and cognition, language and society, language and culture, language families, languages by structure and resources, place of Turkish among other languages, phonetic features of Turkish, and phonological rules, inflection in Turkish, Turkish word categories, rules of spelling, formation about composition, elements of a sentence and sample analyses.

Course contents
1 What ıs language. Language as a social institution and its importance in the life of the nation.
2 Language-culture relationship.
3 Place of Turkish language among world languages??, the common features of the Altai language.
4 Outlines the historical development of Turkish Language and historical periods. Present situation and spread areas of the Turkish language.
5 Sounds in Turkish and their classification. Turkish sound features. .
6 Representative works review: poerty, story.
7 Writing rules and application (rules of voice and appendices)
8 MIDTERM EXAM
9 Writing rules and application (Separate and adjacent typed words, the spelling of proper names)Punctuation and application.
10 General background information about composition (applications on the text.)
11 Affixes and suffixes (applications on the text.)
12 Current issues in Turkish and discussions on the topic.
