Dersin Amacı	The students will understand how the field of SLA has developed historically, as well as the current approaches, understand the issues and problems in current SLA research and theory, understand the terminology, important figures, and important studies in SLA, be able to combine course topic with ELT practices.
Dersin Tanımı	This course involves a careful examination of theories in second language acquisition and research topics under investigation. We will focus on the developments in SLA theories by giving reference to significant moves and names in time. In addition, recent studies in SLA published in prestigious journals will be discussed in class.
