Course objective To teach nutritional status in adult diseases, to teach enteral and parenteral nutrition methods, requirements, products and applications in different diseases.
Course description It includes determining the nutritional status of adult patients, enteral and parenteral nutrition methods in adult patients, requirements, learning products, discussing different applications and approaches in enteral and parenteral nutrition treatment methods, enteral and parenteral nutrition applications in adult patients.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
1 Students gain the skill of teamwork on enteral and parenteral nutrition; Learns the dietician''s place and responsibilities in the team.
2 Students obtain information about nutritional support methods, evaluation of nutritional status and determination of needs of patients who will be applied enteral and parenteral nutrition.
3 Students obtain information about enteral feeding methods and products to be used.
4 Students obtain information about parenteral nutrition methods and products to be used.
5 Students learn the knowledge of developing patient-specific nutrition plan according to the clinical findings of patients to whom enteral and parenteral nutrition will be applied.
