Course objective The aim of this course is to ensure students investigate international economic relations in terms of foreign trade policies and instruments and also understand international financial crisis.
Course description Instructing to students about International Trade Policies and monetary transactions and discussing policies in growth & development process in the International Economics.

Course contents
1 Explaining foreign trade policies.
2 Analyzing tariffs and non tariff barriers by example problems.
3 Discussing new protectionism.
4 Investigating economic unions, custom unions and free trade areas.
5 Synthesizing relationship between global economy and foreign trade.
6 Explaining international money relations by example questions.
7 Analyzing exchange rate market and balance of payments.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
1 To be able to understand the importance of economic unions and institutions in international payment system.
2 To be able to understand international monetary theories.
3 To be able to evaluate relationship between economic development and international trade theories by using economic indicators.
4 To be able to define, understand and compare instruments of foreign trade policy.
5 To be able to understand operations of global financial system and also create policy proposals for different cases.
6 To be able to prepare and present projects about international financial economics and also to be able to make group discussion.
7 To be able to analyze international capital movements in terms of financial crisis by using economic indicators and also create policy proposals.
8 To be able to compare alternative exchange rate systems and also evaluate relationship between trade and money.
9 To be able to analyze today’s international economic cases by the help of these theories
