Mode of delivery Also, during the usage of visual sources, discussion, asking questions and taking part by comments will be expected. Students must read the articles and boks that are given in the begining of the semester and are responsible from homeworks or projects. As told before, the course is going to be told by visual materials for that reason all kind of visual support were obtained. Computer techonology and powerpoint programmes, dia positives, movies are some of them. All kind of visual techonogy machines can easily be used in the classrooms of the faculty.
Course objective To understand the variations and differentiation of the periods of Turkish paintings by the help of visual matterials. To discuss the effect of Islamic point of view towars to the paintings and its reflection to the Turkish paintings. To comprehend the contemporary education methods of art history education.. To utulize the audio-visual materials in the art history education To motivate the interest to the contemporary Turkish paintings by arranging research exercusions.
Course description In the Art History III course, we are going to emphasize the periods of Turkish Picture according to European perception. After acception of Islam religion drawing picture was not admited in a good manner among the Turks till the 19.th century Otoman Empire. In that century by the effect of westernization European art styles were copied from Turkish artists and a new sensibility occured. Futher more academic education took part and a fine arts education college named Sanayi-i Nefise Mekteb-i Ali were opened. In that course, all efforts for the education of European style picture drawings and the phases that Turkish picture passed is going to be determined.

2 The reform programmes in the art .
3 Western effects in the Otoman Empire.
4 Relationship in different levels and degrees with modern art.
5 The process of establishing Sanayi-i Nefise College and starting modern architecture and sculpture education.
6 Ottoman Artist Association, 1914 Generation and Inas Sanayi-i Nefise College.
7 Mid-Term Exam

9 Radical Changes During the Modernization Period.
10 “Official and Political Problems in Art” and the art support of goverment.
