Course objective It is aimed that students taking this course will be able to understand the meaning of all the subjects included in the course and to define the content of these subjects and the relationships between them. It is aimed that students taking this course will be aware of all the knowledge and skills required for a construction management career.
Course description Construction Industry. Participants and functions of construction projects. Project delivery systems. Phases of construction projects. Tasks in the Planning and Design phase of the construction project and participants in these phases. Sub-phases of design and the basic decisions to be taken in these phases. Tasks in the tender phase. Duties and participants during the construction phase. Duties of the project owners and/or project owner representatives during the construction phase. Duties of designers during the construction phase. Construction inspection on behalf of the public. Head office functions in construction companies. Site organizations of construction companies. Duties of Site Managers in a construction company. Project Administration. Duties of the Construction Manager in the Construction Management Project Delivery System.
