1 Knows the basic structure of the human body, definitions and terms, organs, neighborhoods and operations of organs and systems.
2 Has knowledge of health protection, system diseases and first aid.
3 Knows the safety of the laboratory and the rules to be followed in the laboratory. Detects the risks that may occur in the laboratory and takes precautions against them. Creates a safe laboratory environment.
4 Has knowledge about environmental health and waste management in medical laboratory applications and applies necessary measures.
5 Has knowledge about the operation and management of the medical laboratory and has the ability to execute applications.
6 Knows the devices, tools and materials used in the laboratory. Uses them appropriately, makes maintenance and cleaning
7 Takes proper sample for medical laboratory tests properly. Ensures proper transfer of samples. Applies sample acceptance and rejection criteria, can perform basic tests and stores the samples that are required to be kept duly.
8 Performs sample preparation procedures before the test, prepares the preparation, uses a microscope and performs microbiological cultivation. Detects errors that may occur during medical laboratory tests and corrects them
9 Prepare chemical solution, know basic definitions and properties of laboratory chemistry.
10 Has knowledge of sterilization and disinfection and applies them.
11 Checks laboratory statistic studies, material and kit count, and check expiry dates.
12 Has sufficient awareness of individual and public health, occupational safety and environmental protection.
13 Uses informatics and communication technologies in matters related to the field and transfers professional knowledge through written and verbal communication.
14 Communicates at a basic level in a foreign language and uses in professional practices.
15 Updates knowledge, skills and competencies with lifelong learning awareness and develops personally and professionally.
16 Understands basic professional legal legislation in the field. Act in accordance with social, cultural and legal rights and responsibilities.
