Course objective Comparative literature research to gain knowledge and application skills.
Course description The history of comparative literature study methods and current perception. The interaction between Turkish and Western literatures.

Course contents
1 The short story of comparatistic searches, terminology, bibliography.
2 Nowadays in Western and Turkey, comparatistic searches.
3 Translateing works in the world litaratures and their influences each other.
4 At antique Greek, Romans and Uygur Turk Eras, translating works.
5 Translating works at the Middle Ages.
6 Analysis of Model works such as Emel Kefeli's work: 'Yaban'da Tesirler'.
7 In Turkish literature, literatur currents which were borned in Western literatures. At Tanzimat Era, Shakespeare's influences on Turkish literature.
